The maps in the guide are in a completely new format and contain new topographical information released by
the Survey of Israel which is a goverment agency for Mapping, Geodesy, Cadastre and Geoinformatics.
The second edition had 61 topo maps (1:50,000) without overlap among them.
In the third edition we've used the full area of the page. The result is 56 maps were required and there is
sufficient overlap among the maps.
Old posts prior to July 1st, 2016 that contain map numbers, relate to the numbers in the second edition.
For hikers who have the second edition:
Map #10 in the 3rd edition is map #12 in the 2nd edition.
Map #27 in the 3rd edition is map #31 in the 2nd edition.
Map #42 in the 3rd edition is map #46 in the 2nd edition.
