The guide is not available in PDF format.

If you want to reduce the weight of your backpack, as you've indicated in a PM, then take out the hike description in the "other" direction.
It reduces the weight by ~75 grams.
You don't need the preface when you hike so take it out too, and another 25 grams are gone. The preface is available for download
here on the forum.
Experieced hikers carry in their pocket the relevant page(s) + map for the day and burn them by the end of the day.

I purchased the guide last year to take it on my Shvil from Kibbutz Dan to Jerusalem. Usually I pay a lot of attention on weight issues when it comes to hiking. I consider myself a light (not ultralight!) Trekker, and therefore I felt uncomfortable with the guide's size and weight. For the time when I will continue the walk to Eilat I scanned all the relevant pages of the guide and saved them as one PDF to bring on my mobile. Carrying an 'analogue' map could be considered wise though

Your comment is appreciated.

For 1014 km trail a guide that weighs 350 grams is light. If you take out the  relevant pages for the day
there is no issue with size.

The next edition of the guide will be 275 grams max. If you take out the "other" direction,
you will end up with a 220 grams guide. Compared to most guides I know, it is an ultralight guide...

I certainly didn't mean any disrespect! I appreciated the guide on the hike, even though I wasn't a hundred percent happy about it's size and weight. I'm used to guides of nearly half the dimensions for equally long hikes in Europe, however the detailed maps in this case take their toll of course. Anyway, please don't feel offended!

No offence was taken

Dimensions: I am aware of the issue 23x16.5 cm. The maps are taking a toll as you wrote.

Weight: 3rd edition will be lighter and it will be easier to take out the "other" direction.

If you have more comments please don't hesitate to post them here. Thanks

The third edition is now available. It weighs 265 grams. If you take out the hike description in the other direction
you end up with a guide that weighs 205 grams, it is an ultralight guide .
It can be easily done since the new guide is completely restructured. North to south description is at the
beginning of the guide then the maps and south to north description is after the maps. Just use a sharp utility
knife and remove the description in the "other" direction. It will not damage the other pages.
