Backpack size

Hi
We plan to walk on the Israel National Trail for a Week or so probably from Eilat after February.
We almost bought everything already, but now we are not quite sure if our Backpacks are big enough. We bought everything relay light and compact.
our Backpacks are 60+15 and 55+15.

We plan to cache our Water or to use Waterdrop.

People managed to hike solo with 50 liters. 55 and 60 are definitely good.

I'll add one cautionary note to Yaankale's: It all depends how much water you are carrying. If, say, you're carrying no more than 6 liters and having a supply point every two days, you can manage with 60 Liters. But if you plan on carrying water for 2-3 days without having water delivered to you in the middle, then it's completely different story, and you'll need a larger backpack designed for heavier loads.

Hi yagil

Thank you very much for your Tipp. We would like to have a water delivered to you in the middle. We are just not sure how we will do it.
Water Cache or us Waterdrop Service...

The Backpacks are 60+15 and 55+15.
So "technically" it is a 75 and a 70 ??

We are not sure if the Backpacks getting to heavy for us if they are bigger and of "course" Filled...

We also ordered the Maps and will try to figure out witch way we could do it.

BTW: Maps are expensive and they are in Hebrew. You have all the maps you need in the guide.

Please take a look here for the hike direction.

Max. water to carry is for two days and the backpack will be over 20 kg in the morning of the first day. Don't try to carry for three days this is way too heavy.

May I suggest to download this file to plan your hike w/o caching.

I'd say that if you take water for max. two days 65+10 is enough probably 50+10 too.

Try to simulate at home before you go and buy two new backpacks.

This sounds relay heavy. Yes

This sound really fine. >> using private water caches
( It is also clear that it costs some amount, but then we don't have to carry  that much that is much better.
