There is an obvious requirement to stock up on water whenever you can whilst hiking in the Negev. Is it possible to at least get a decent map, other than the very indistinct ones in the Trail book, which clearly show where these water points are? For instance, there is a reference to water being available at the Negev minerals quarry, but I can't see that indicated on the map! These maps are very poor quality, with far too much unnecessary detail given to contours, poor use of colours, indistinct marking of trail, and general lack of highlighting of facilities along the way.

Your comments are appreciated  .

In the next edition a completely new set of maps will be used without any contour with a larger coverage area.

Here is a map of the area with the quarry indicated. The faucet is located by the entry to the quarry.
Let me know if further info. is required.

The alternative to caching water is carrying water for 1.5-2 days 3-4 times. It is doable. Pls. read here

These maps are just so much better. It looks like I bought my trail book way too early. Is there any way I can get these new maps other than having to buy a new book?

I intend to start at the end of November, walking North to South.
